Child Survival Projects
From 2008 - 2011 I travelled around the globe developing over 80 films with children around the world documenting the lives of children in today's society and their educational and health opportunities whilst giving them a voice on the International Stage.
At the same time I developed a Global Network of Schools, Educators, Charities , Communities and Business all working to eradicate poverty and improve health and educational opportunity for children around the globe.
I have been traveling since 2008 visiting children in schools orphanages and hospitals, in many countries around the world. I have witnessed the plight of child soldiers, child prostitutes, children living off the street and children floating down sewage infested rivers in washing up bowls selling snakes and reptiles to make survival a viable prospect. Approx 20% of the children I have filmed have now died through malnutrition, disease or abuse.
It has been a sharp reminder to me that we in the first world cannot turn our backs on people in the third world – for our complacency costs lives, our hesitancy breeds disease and time is running out for these young children . We can make a difference if we use our enthusiasm to fuel awareness and our dedication to invoke change.
In order to develop this project further and allow for the expansion of this global network, working together to improve conditions and opportunities for children around the world it gives me great pleasure to announce a new venture, a not for profit organisation set up to continue the aims of Around the World in 80 Schools and help those schools and children less fortunate than the others
All donations will go to assisting those children most in need in the
